Wise Guy's Best of 2011 List

I write about food because food evokes memories for me – what I eat with whom at where and when. Eating contains the happiest memories because you don’t eat with your enemies, you only eat with people you love. This has been an exciting year for me. I’ve been lucky to eat many things I’ve never eaten before but I’m even luckier to eat with my friends. Thank you, Chiobu, Hookerlily, The Ex, and Mr NGFL for eating with me. I don’t care about food tastings or the website’s reputation or statistics; I only care that you guys eat with me and may we eat together for our lives. Food tastes better with you.

And thank you, 14K. Although we may never have a chance to eat together again, I loved you as little as Pierre Png does to Andrea D’Cruz. When we were together, I’d have given my liver to you. It must have been love but it’s over now. I won’t wait for you; being the hot stuff that I am, surely many people will come for me. But if I’m single when you’ve found yourself, we can start from scratch. Don’t miss me when you’re out there looking for yourself.

I’ve shortlisted a few places that I’ve eaten this year and are all awesome in their own right but there can be only one winner. But then again–saying an Award Ceremony platitude–everyone on the list is already a winner.
